Life... with only four letters in the alphabets, speaks volumes to many different individuals. As for us, life is what God has given and what we make out of it in obedience to Jesus Christ! So live life to the full... life is indeed exciting!

Helpful Little Hands II

Both Josh and Jess can be helpful in their ways. Recently, Mummy allowed them to wash dishes after dinner! They were so excited to do it for the first time! (Let's hope the enthusiasm doesn't die away soon i.e. when iit becomes part of their house hold chores when they are older!!)

Anyway, they did well and did not break anything. As you can see, Josh was busy rinsing the plates and utensils whilst Jess 'helped' to put them on the rack. Sometimes Josh had to put them on the rack himself! Mummy soaped the dishes of course. Great kids aren't they? Hope this doesn't constitue as child labour... again!

Jess' dolls

Jess has lots of toys; from a little stove to bricks... but she has two that are her favourites... her dolls! I'm blogging this 'cos I'm sure one day when Jess is all grown up, she would be pleased to read this blog entry, reminding her of her sweet childhood memories of her first dolls.

Ok, some introduction on the dolls. They are called Polly and Daisy. Polly was given to her during her at her "full moon" celebration by the Liaws. Daisy is the most recent addition to her doll 'collection'... bought by Daddy at Toysaurus in KL. So who named the dolls? Can't be Jess right? So Daddy helped named both the dolls. Why Polly? 'Cos Daddy like to make the 'wind' with his mouth by emphasizing on the "P" for Polly... Daddy would say "P-P-P-P-Polly!". She would smile when I do that. Another reason is to help her know the "P" sound. It is fun! Daisy was just a name that came to mind. She just accepted it.

Polly's on the left and Daisy's on the right.

Here's a better pic of the to dolls.

Hugging both Polly and Daisy together!

"Over" hugging her dolls... woosh!

Playing 'peek-a-boo' with her dolls. See how well the dolls' eyes are covered?

Children's Day 2006

Today is a day dedicated to children worldwide. Joshua's kindy celebrated it with "Fruits & Vegetables" as the theme. The idea was to have all things fruity and veggie-y the whole morning to make it a special day. Parents (including sisters and grandads and grandmas) were invited to celebrate the day together.

Joshua was dressed up in the morning in orange to help blend in with the vegetable called Carrot, where he would be dressed up as that veggie in school! Yes, very amusing... we have a cute 'little' carrot this morning! Thankf God our cameras could take the 'orangi-ness' of the day (see photos below).

The morning was filled with fun activities for the kids.. from stamping (stamps were made from potatoes) to fishing 'veggies'! All in all, it was a succesful morning (albeit a little accident)... so kudos to all the teachers and headmistress!

Here are some of the pics to give you an idea of what went on that morning!

Little Jess was also there... enjoying herself with all the play things. Here's Mummy trying to put on a "Pineapple" head gear on Jess!

Fishing time!

Josh was quite good at fishing out the veggies and putting it in his blue bucket.

Well done son!

Oh ya, he managed to fish out 11 veggies!

Here's Josh with one of his best friend, Sarah.

Josh & Jess October 2006

Our kids are really growing up... fast! I have started working in KL and I would come back on weekends to see my family. And each time I come back, I see my kids have grown a little more. They are just so adorable and beautiful (perhaps we are just biased saying that being their Daddy and Mummy and all... wink! wink!... but they are a blessing to us!). What I would notice is Jess would have grown more hair, more talkative, dance more, whilst Josh would be more 'grown up' in his behaviour (in certain ways of course), more expressive in his emotions, more agile (he won a medal in school during sports day last week!!), etc..

Anyway, I thought it would be a good idea to capture them in photographs at this tender age of 2 and 4. These were taken yesterday during a lunch appointment with my brother and sister in-law.

P.S. Josh was unwell today.. down with flu. So we finally decided to bring him to see a doctor. Guess who we bumped into?? Dancing Queen! It was a pleasant surprised to have met her in real life.

Lunch at Sushi King

Lunch at Sushi King, originally uploaded by Yong Family.

I'm having lunch now. There's just so many things to eat here in KL, but have to be ready to spend too. Today it's Sushi King restaurant for me. Nice japanese food for a change. Opted for the Kodomo Bento meal which basically is tempura type. Comes with yoghurt drink too. Ok, food is here.... Time to eat!
