Life... with only four letters in the alphabets, speaks volumes to many different individuals. As for us, life is what God has given and what we make out of it in obedience to Jesus Christ! So live life to the full... life is indeed exciting!

Big Four...

I wonder if you have noticed the tickers at the bottom of our blog; if you haven't, let me describe to you what one of them looks like... one of the tickers has a 'Butterfly' hovering just above the '03 Heart' and very near the '04 Heart'. If that doesn't makes sense, it is actually a ticker for Jess' age. So Jess is almost four, to be exact, she will be four in the wee early hours of this coming Monday of 2008!

(Ticker copied from below for those who are time-challenged to view it.)

Since her birthday falls on a week day, we decided to celebrate it in the weekend. We had her special Big Four day at an arts and craft centre. If you know Art Attack, well, this centre was birthed out of that show... it is a franchise in KL.

Jess had her friends from school, cousins and cell group to make her Big Four celebration an artsy affair! They all had a go at making 3D models e.g. a bag with Princess Ariel's picture on it (guess who's choice that was!), a yellow submarine, an Easter bunny, etc. They all look very cute don in their aprons, paintbrushes in their tiny hands and using small hairdryers to dry their crafts.

After an hour of craft making, we brought out Jess' cake. It has the 'Strawberry Shortcake' cartoon character on it ... this was on Jess' requests ; it must also be 'pink and round like a circle' (Jess' own words). The children feasted after the birthday song and cake cutting. They had french fries, chicken nuggets, egg sandwiches, cream puffs (this one is very yummy!) and drinks. As part of the birthday package, each child is given a party pack by the craft centre. Jess went home happy and tired... it was a big big day for her.

Here are some pics taken on the day itself.

Besides the helpers / instructors of the craft centre, parents were there too to help their kids with the craft work.

Then the feasting began.
