Life... with only four letters in the alphabets, speaks volumes to many different individuals. As for us, life is what God has given and what we make out of it in obedience to Jesus Christ! So live life to the full... life is indeed exciting!

Penang conquered!

Penang, the Pearl of the Orient.... we were on that island about two weeks ago. We drove up north from KL to Penang which took us 6 hours with lunch break at Ipoh (plus many loo stops along the way-la). We had chicken rice in Ipoh (what else!). Jess seems to be very fond of chicken rice nowadays. Anyway, upon arrival in Penang, we checked into The Gurney hotel which is located along Gurney Drive. A most convenient place to eat and get around.

Penang is famous for its food. I'll let the pictures tell the story of our travel. I'll add a few snippets along the way.

Fruity Ice Kacang on a hot sunny afternoon...

Penang fruit rojak... so delicious!

The coffee shop along "Swatow Lane" where we had our ice kacang and rojak. (It's located opposite New World).

The egg tart in this bakery is to die for (supposedly) but we never get to try it as they ran out when we got there. It's located not to far from Swatow Lane.

One of the places of interest in Penang is the butterfly farm.

"New Zealand" Poh Poh with Jess and Josh at the butterfly park.

Jess was fascinated by the butterflies.

A three horn rhinoceros beetle statue... to Josh's delight!

We went to the Youth Park where there were supposedly to be some "dinosaurs" there... well, there were, but only a few and they were rides (like above). Josh was a bit disappointed but both Josh and Jess wore themselves out at the playground.

Both Josh and Jess all tired .

We also went to the Spice Garden to buy spices.

And then off to the beach. This one is called Miami Beach!

We spent 3 days in Penang. It was a nice trip overall, relaxing and plenty to eat. On the way home to KL, we stopped by Cameron Highland. It was strawberry time!

We spent a night at Cameron Highlands and then headed home.
Relaxed and refreshed!
