Life... with only four letters in the alphabets, speaks volumes to many different individuals. As for us, life is what God has given and what we make out of it in obedience to Jesus Christ! So live life to the full... life is indeed exciting!

Packing up

This week was a real hectic week for us. We were packing up whatever we can and then, the professional packers came. They did a good job, making everything secure and well padded. We were very impressed at their packing skills. Oh, and they did it very fast too! We ended up with 80 items (most of them in boxes) that went into a 20 footer container. So all is ready to be shipped to KL, including my car (it went into a separate container of course).

We are relieved that the packing is finally down. You may ask, how do you get online when all is packed up? Well, I'm back in KL again (running my pseudo-bachelor life) until my family comes to KL in December.

Dolphins in Brunei?

A few weekends ago, my family and I went for a break in Brunei. We stayed at the Empire Hotel... one of the most lavishly decorated hotels in South East Asia. How lavish? Most of the utilities in the bathrooms e.g. handles, taps had hints of gold trimmings or is gold plated... does that give you an idea?

It was a wonderful stay albeit the cost of the rooms were on the high side! The children loved the pool area and played at the pool most of the time we were there. We had dinner at "Li Gong", a chinese restaurant there and the menu says, "No MSG". Very impressed. We even watched "Open Season" with the kids (Josh loved it but Jess fell asleep half way) as there was a multiscreen cineplex within its compound... it's big! Disgustingly huge compound as one need a buggy to get around the area! Ok, go to their website and see what they can offer.

The highlight of the stay had to be the 'dolphins'. "Dolphins?", I hear you say. Yes, but dolphin statues la. The statues were made from marble (I think) and very well designed. See for yourselves in the pictures below... very creative landscaping... a real work of art!

There was an interesting incident when we wanted to look at those dolphin statues. As we made our way there, it started raining! The kids were horrified as they wanted to touch the dolphins. They could see it from afar but that wasn't good enough. So Mummy ask Joshua to pray to ask God to stop the rain. He did and soon after his prayer, the rain stopped! He was overjoyed and we made our way to the 'dolphins'. God answers prayers.. even a simple requests as such. What was amazing was that He allowed us enough time to enjoy the sculptures (taking photos as well) before it started to rain again. Both kids were happy and satisfied that they "rode" on dolphins! Praise God!

Two of the dolphin statues... I think there were about half a dozen of them there.

Had to use a rubber dinghy to get to the dolphins! Just kidding.

See how happy they were?

Nice dolphin... don't bite me now...

Selling my second hand Palm PDA

Ok, the "house moving date" is getting closer by the day. As we are packing our stuff, I came across my first fantastic Palm PDA... a sony Clie! I really liked it but eventually, I switched to a Pocket PC as I wanted a two in one functionality i.e a PDA phone.

I'm wanting to sell this Palm PDA (oh no! I will miss it...) which comes complete with its original packaging and original accessories. It has some minor scratches on the shell and let me caution you that the 1.3 Mega pixel camera will need to be fixed up.

I also have a 'pouch' that I bought (in Schipol airport!) that I will include in this package. There are also some Palm software, including a Bible software that I will throw in as well. How much did I get it for? Well, the price was RM2,100. So how much am I willing to part with it? Make me an offer and I will consider.

P.S. PW, if you are reading this, I may need your help. Will you be back in Miri soon? If you can help, please contact me. Thanks!

The PDA opened up!

Yup, the screen can be twisted so you can write on it as if using a notepad.
