A Birthday Post
This post has very much been delayed in writing, but it will be blogged now as it is an important one! On 6th August, we celebrated my wife's birthday... or Mummy's birthday to the kids. We had a nice dinner at a restaurant, she opened her birthday present (remember the blue box with the red ribbon in my earlier post?) and then had her "cake ceremony" at home. She was very happy with the blouse and handbag that Josh and I bought. Phew!
Below are some pictures of the mini celebration. And oh, don't miss out the Birthday Song by our kids in the little clip below... very cute and worth the wait to download!!
The Cake Ceremony
The opening of the cake from the cake box... got the cake from Hot Cross Bun, our favourite cake shop in Miri at the moment. They now have nicer octagonal shaped boxes compared to the older days of normal rectangular pink boxes.
It was a blueberry yoghurt cake! One of our favourite cakes.
A close up shot of the cake.
And the candles are lit! Mind you the number of candles do not represent age here... so stop counting!! Candles were there mainly for the amusement of our kids! You can see how big a grin Jess has in the picture below.
Both Josh and Jess can't wait to blow the candles out.
Getting ready to sing the song.
Play the clip below to hear the song. The cake was cut after that and we all had a good share of the yummy cake!
