Life... with only four letters in the alphabets, speaks volumes to many different individuals. As for us, life is what God has given and what we make out of it in obedience to Jesus Christ! So live life to the full... life is indeed exciting!

Fun with Dinosaurs in Miri!

Dino Trek by Petrosains is in Miri! Actually, they were here since 15-August and will remain until February 2007! Talk about a long stay. They are exhibiting their dinosaurs at the Miri Petroleum Museum located at Canada Hill.

We went there today as Joshua kept asking us to bring him there when he saw the numerous banners that lined the streets, roundabouts and lighting poles. The banners have pictures of either an 'amputated' dinosaur foot or head... plus of course the usualy info.! This is indeed excellent advertisement albeit an overkill, I think! But one has to bear in mind that the London Royal Circus is in town as well... so there is fierce competition. Clowns or pre-historic lizards?? Decisions, decisions... (ya right, as if there were so many things to do in Miri! Ha ha ha! Most people will go for both actually to get away from the monotony of weekends in Miri.) Both Mummy and Daddy with Jess and Josh and also Kung-Kung went to view the exhibits at Dino Trek.

Tickets were priced at RM5 per adult and RM3 per child. Really worth it I think. Oh, kids under 3 years old need not pay. Josh and Jess had a lot of fun there, although Jess was a bit terrified by the mighty T-Rex at the end. Here are a few pictures we took at the exhibit.
(It's not easy to take photos of kids when they are all so excited with the exhibit when using a normal automatic point and shoot digital camera.)

There were cartoon dinosaurs... (you can see from this picture who stood still and who moved around a lot!! The blurer, the more the movement!)

There were cartoon looking dinosaur rides...

This was actually a game where Josh needs to paddle to out run another dinosaur chasing his dinosaur! Very amusing.

Some "flat dinosaurs"...

Tilt the table to move the marble around the dinosaur. Jess wanted to take the marble out and play with it!

Simple dinosaur puzzles abound, from this simple 2D to rotatable cubes type...

More dinosaur games... FEED ME!!

We were lost in the jungle in there!

There was half a dinosaur in there. Josh had a good time swinging and swaying the brochiosaurus' head.

There was a triceratop... a robotic one that is! It moves and makes lots of noise. Not much flesh.. ha ha ha! Must be a Malaysian dinosaur!!

There was this duckbilled dinosaur, called a Melaisaur (or something like that) and...

...it had babies! Jess simply loved watching the babies move in their cracked shells!

Ooh, the Mighty T-Rex! It is yet another robotic dinosaur that has skin and moving eyes and roars loudly. Very impressive.... definitely the star of the exhibit!

Some 'fossils' and 'bones'. Totally fascinated Josh!
