Life... with only four letters in the alphabets, speaks volumes to many different individuals. As for us, life is what God has given and what we make out of it in obedience to Jesus Christ! So live life to the full... life is indeed exciting!

Disney Characters on Ice

Yesterday morning, we went to watch the annual 'Disney On Ice' production at Bukit Jalil, KL. The theme this time round was "Mickey and His Amazing Journey". It is about Mickey and his friends (Minnie, Donald, Daisy and Goofy) traveling from continent to continent to introduce the various Disney shows. They showcased "The Lion King", "The Little Mermaid", "Peter Pan", "101 Dalmatians" and "Lilo and Stitch". The varied characters from land to sea were cleverly portrayed... with every character on skates! Peter Pan had characters fling above the skating ring and that added dynamism for us all. Here are some pictures taken at the event, though not very good pictures - due to the lighting and limitation of compact cameras.

The hosts; Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy and Goofy.

The first show was "The Lion King".

"101 Dalmatians" had skaters dressed in spots and to make 101 'dalmatians', they had two life size dummies tied to the sides of the human skaters. It was quite a sight.

Do you recognise him? Yup, that' Sebastian the lobster in "The Little Mermaid".

"The Little Mermaid" had a very Jamaican theme throughout. It was beautiful to see the many sea creatures and sea shells.

The starfishes were rather cute!

Above is the story of "Peter Pan". Captain Hook had the crocodile behind him in almost all the scenes... tick, tock, tick, tock!

Finally, it was "Lilo and Stitch". Ohana means family and it means 'nobody gets left behind'! Stitch did his Elvis' song so you can imagine it was like back in the 70s... (or was it 60s?).

The grand finale had all the cast coming out in joyful celebration and frantic goodbye waves! It was a good show although I think last year's "Finding Nemo" was better. Jess definitely enjoyed the whole show whilst Josh was a bit indifferent. He still prefers his animals and dinosaurs.
